Job summary

St Monica Trust in Stirling is seeking a part-time Care Assistant to provide compassionate, resident-centered care. You will support daily living activities, assist with mobility and nutrition, and help maintain accurate care records under supervision.

The role requires Level 2 in Care or equivalent, GCSEs in maths/English, and basic IT skills. Night shift enhancements apply, with emphasis on dementia care and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Essential: Level 2 in Care or equivalent.
• Essential: GCSE Maths and English.
• Essential: Basic IT skills and familiarity with Word/Email.
• Essential: Awareness of dementia and Mental Capacity Act.
• Essential: First aid, manual handling and hygiene practices.
• Experience in nursing home or similar care setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver day-to-day holistic care to residents and meet individual needs.
• Undertake clinical and medication tasks under RN guidance.
• Support wellbeing activities with volunteers and therapy teams.
• Maintain accurate records relating to care and regulatory needs.
• Lead handovers, meetings and supervision sessions.
