Job summary

Sandon House Care Home, Mossley, part of Care Concern Group, is hiring a Senior Care Assistant for night shifts. The role focuses on leading a care team, delivering safe, person-centred care and maintaining high standards across the night shift. The position includes DBS, pension, uniform, and career development opportunities.

Contracted to 33 hours per week with 5.6 weeks leave, we value compassionate leadership and clear communication with residents, families and healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

• SVQ/NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (minimum), with Level 3 desirable or willingness to work towards.
• Medication administration training with competency is essential.
• Experience supporting or leading a care team is beneficial.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• A caring, compassionate and professional approach.

Responsibilities

• Guide and support your team in delivering safe, high quality, person centred care that makes a real difference every day to our residents.
• Take responsibility for the smooth running of your shift, ensuring care is well organised, consistent and delivered to a high standard.
• Oversee medication, monitor residents’ wellbeing and respond to any changes, ensuring care remains safe and appropriate.
• Maintain accurate care records and work closely with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals to ensure clear communication and continuity of care.
