Job summary

Kepak Group in Bodmin is seeking a security officer to ensure a safe environment for customers and staff. You will patrol premises, monitor surveillance, and respond to alarms during a 36-hour weekly night shift (Fri-Sun, 6pm-6am).

Qualifications

• SIA Approved training desirable; Level 2 Health and Safety desirable.
• Proven experience as a security officer/guard.
• Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety.
• Excellent surveillance and observation skills.
• Tech-savvy with experience in surveillance systems.
• Registered as a security officer.

Responsibilities

• Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property and monitoring surveillance.
• Obtains help by sounding alarms.
• Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities and restraining trespassers.
• Controls traffic by directing drivers.
• Completes reports by recording observations and interviewing witnesses.
• Maintains environment by monitoring building and equipment controls.
• Complies with legal requirements to protect the organization.
