About the role

As a Supermarket Assistant, you'll help make a difference for our customers on every visit by providing the Partner-led service and passion for food that set us apart. You'll be passionate about serving food lovers and ensuring excellent customer experiences.

Your drive to go the extra mile will positively influence customers' perceptions of the Waitrose brand, encouraging their trust and loyalty for a lifetime.

Due to working time regulations, applicants must be 18 years or over to apply.

In addition to the stated pay, you will receive a shift premium for hours worked between 22:00 and 06:00, paid at the pay range minimum rate for your role.

Key Responsibilities

Your role will involve various shop-keeping tasks to keep the operation efficient and productive, including:

• Stock replenishment—ensuring shelves are full and products are correctly placed for customers.
• Fulfilling online customer orders for delivery.
• Reducing wastage through product due diligence and markdowns on near-expiry items.
• Supporting the wider shop team with checkout, Click & Collect, on-demand orders, and more.
• Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment with general shopkeeping duties.
