Job summary

John Lewis Partnership is hiring a Supermarket Assistant in Lichfield for Waitrose & Partners. You will deliver great Partner-led service and food passion, stock shelves, fulfill online orders, and help reduce waste while maintaining a clean, safe store environment.

The role includes a night premium of £3.75 per hour for hours 22:00–06:00 and may require DBS checks as part of pre-employment vetting. This is a temporary contract with 37.5 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Customer-facing experience is a plus.
• Interest in food and fresh products.

Responsibilities

• Stock replenishment and ensuring products are in the right place.
• Fulfilling online customer orders for delivery to customers’ doors.
• Minimising waste through proper product due diligence and markdowns.
• Support checkout, Click & Collect, and other store tasks as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe shop environment.
