Job summary

John Lewis Partnership's Waitrose department is hiring a Supermarket Assistant. You will help customers with our partner-led service and passion for food, delivering on our promise to create trust and loyalty.

This role involves stock replenishment, fulfilling online orders, reducing wastage, supporting the wider shop team including checkout and Click & Collect, and maintaining a safe, tidy environment. Varied hours across seven days.

Responsibilities

• Stock replenishment - ensuring shelves are full and products are in the right place for customers.
• Fulfilling online customer orders ready for our drivers to deliver to customers.
• Reducing wastage by following product due diligence and markdowns to those reaching sell-by dates.
• Working with the wider shop team to support when needed including checkout support, managing Click & Collect orders, fulfilling on-demand customer orders and more.
• Maintain a safe and tidy working environment with general shopkeeping tasks.
