Job summary

Mandeville Veterinary Hospital in Northolt is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our 24-hour hospital, on a 4 nights on, 8 nights off rota averaging 37 hours per week.

You’ll work alongside our clinical team to care for hospitalised patients and manage overnight emergencies. The role requires RVN with hospital experience and comfort with surgery, anaesthesia, and critical care. Night shifts include weekend cover on a 1 in 5 rotation.

We're looking for an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our 24-hour hospital in Northolt, working a 4 nights on, 8 nights off rota, averaging 37 hours per week.

That means when you're not looking after patients, there's plenty of time for long dog walks, mountain adventures (if that’s your thing), catching a show in London, or simply doing whatever you fancy with eight nights off.

The role:

You’ll work alongside our experienced veterinary surgeons and nursing team, caring for hospitalised patients and treating emergency presentations overnight.

We're looking for an RVN who:

• Has experience working in a hospital environment
• Is confident assisting with surgery and anaesthesia
• Is comfortable nursing emergency and critical patients
• Can work confidently overnight while being part of a supportive team

The role includes out of hours and weekend cover with 1 in 5 weekends requiring cover.

Mandeville is a busy 24-hour hospital with an experienced clinical team and excellent diagnostic and surgical facilities.

We have advanced diagnostic support including CT and ultrasound service. Our strong medical team and experienced surgeons routinely undertake advanced orthopaedic, soft tissue and minimally invasive procedures.

You’ll work alongside experienced veterinary surgeons and nurses, caring for a varied caseload and developing your skills in emergency and critical care.

And because nobody goes into veterinary nursing because they particularly enjoy predictable days, you’ll never quite know what will walk, limp, wobble or occasionally be carried through the door next.

What we offer

Our night RVN salary band is £37,000 to £43,475 (FTE £40,000 to £47,000 based on 40 hours) depending on experience.
