Qualifications

• CPR certification is required.
• Baccalaureate in Psychology or related field or CNA license with experience.
• Brown University Health Crisis Management certification or current enrollment.

Responsibilities

• Actively participates in treatment planning with the Professional Nurse.
• Communicates treatment plans to the multidisciplinary team.
• Implements treatment plans per unit policies and sets therapeutic limits.
• Documents patient/family interactions on flowsheet timely.
• Observes patients during activities of daily living per plan.
• Establishes therapeutic relationships and encourages participation in activities.
• Conducts patient rounds and reports unusual behaviors.
• Manages aggressive/destructive behavior with timely interventions.
• Places patients in seclusion and/or restraints per policy.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and privacy.
