Brown University Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support patient care under RN supervision at Newport Hospital, RI. Responsible for personal care, basic nursing tasks, and safety, with documentation in the EHR and potential observer duties.

Requires RI Nursing Assistant license, BLS, a high school diploma or equivalent, and basic computer skills; one year of experience preferred. Shift pattern includes 12-hour day shifts, every other weekend and holidays.

Qualificações

• Current Rhode Island license as a Nursing Assistant.
• High school graduate or its equivalent preferred.
• Ability to perform basic computer skills.
• Certified in American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
• Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to patients throughout the life span.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate with Registered Nurse to organize work and set priorities.
• Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, performs: Personal Care Skills; Basic Nursing Assistant Skills as outlined by the Rhode Island Department of Health Professional Licensing and Facility Regulation; Rehabilitation Skills; Maintenance of Safe Environment; Recognition of and Reporting Signs and Symptoms; Safety and infection control; documents data in the EHR; may serve as patient observer.
• Performs other related duties as required.
