Qualifications

• Requires a Baccalaureate in Psychology or CNA license with behavioral health experience.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Brown University Health Crisis Management certification or enrollment is preferred.
• Demonstrates knowledge to care for patients across the lifespan with development awareness.

Responsibilities

• Actively participates in treatment planning with the Nurse.
• Communicates treatment plans to the team.
• Implements plan per unit policies and maintains therapeutic milieu.
• Documents patient interactions in flowsheets promptly.
• Observes patients during activities of daily living.
• Establishes therapeutic relationships and encourages participation in activities.
• Conducts patient rounds and reports unusual behaviors.
• Manages aggressive/destructive behavior with timely interventions.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and privacy.
