Job summary

Arriva UK Bus is recruiting a PSV night engineer for Norwood Garage. You will perform preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on buses and PSVs, diagnose faults, and carry out repairs to high safety standards. A strong background in PSV/heavy vehicle maintenance and DVSA compliance is essential.

You’ll work as part of a team in a busy workshop, embracing continuous improvement and ensuring fleet reliability while supporting junior engineers and apprentices where required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in PSV or Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding capabilities in a workshop/fleet environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on buses and PSVs.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults with diagnostic tools.
• Complete repairs, upgrades, and modifications to DVSA standards.
