Job summary

Waitrose & Partners is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver in Southampton on a temporary, part-time basis (15 hours per week). The role includes delivering Waitrose products to customers and supporting shop tasks when not on the road.

Night work attracts a premium (£3.75 per hour for 22:00–06:00). Applicants must be 18+ with a full UK B-category licence (max 6 points) and be IT literate. Weekend shifts are included.

Qualifications

• Full valid UK B-category driving licence with <=6 points.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Good time management.
• Able to cope with the physical requirements (lifting crates).
• Self-motivated and adaptable.
• IT literate.

Responsibilities

• Check delivery routes for the day.
• Load and prepare van and deliver orders to customers.
• Complete vehicle safety checks and maintain road compliance.
• Be an ambassador for the Waitrose brand with excellent service.
• Assist customers with shopping and build rapport.
• Support the wider shop team with general shopkeeping tasks.
