Job summary

Lochside House Hotel, part of RAD Hotel Group, is seeking a Night Porter to join our team in Scotland. This hands-on role covers the night shift, delivering excellent customer service and ensuring smooth hotel operations while maintaining high safety standards for guests.

You will perform bar service, assist with event setups, handle late check-ins/check-outs, balance night audit records, and respond promptly and professionally to guest requests.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Flexibility to work night shifts, weekends and holidays
• Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach
• Professional and friendly demeanour
• Must be over 18 years old

Responsibilities

• Bar service to guests during the night, ensuring a welcoming and friendly environment.
• Wedding and event setups in function rooms for weddings, conferences, and other events.
• Responding to guest requests, check-in/check-out of late arrivals, and ensuring all needs are met promptly and professionally.
• Ensuring the safety and security of the hotel and its guests throughout the night, including regular checks of public areas and rooms.
• Assisting with luggage, deliveries, and ensuring the hotel remains clean and organized.
• Completing required night audit duties, including balancing the financial records for the day.
• Reporting any maintenance issues or security concerns to the relevant departments.
