Job summary

Hilton York in the heart of York is seeking a friendly front desk team member to provide warm, efficient service for guests and groups. You will manage lobby duties, greet visitors, and support night operations with a calm, professional presence.

Qualifications

• Previous hospitality experience in a hotel setting.
• Excellent communication and guest service skills.

Responsibilities

• Offer consistent, high standard service and lobby presence to guests and Groups.
• Ensure fast, efficient and friendly service for individual guests and Groups.
• Handle messages and faxes during the night.
• Assist with room moves and luggage deliveries and man the Front Door, following SOPs.
• Ensure effective handling and storage of luggage for arrivals and departures.
• Maintain public areas and equipment in immaculate condition.
• Greet all guests in public areas and rooms in a warm manner.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that individual customers and Groups receive fast, efficient and friendly service
• Ensure messages and faxes are regularly delivered throughout the night
• Assist with room moves and luggage deliveries and man the Front Door, following all standard operating procedures
• Ensure the effective handling and storing of long‑term and short‑term luggage for arriving/departing Guests and clients
• Maintain public areas and all equipment in immaculate condition
• Greet all guests in public areas and rooms in a warm manner

What are we looking for?

• Previous experience in hospitality
• Strong good communication skills
• Calm, courteous, and discreet demeanour
• A good knowledge of the area and the country in general, preferred
• A passion for working on team as well as autonomously
