Job description

£26,436.80 per annum / £12.71 per hour, based on a 40-hour week (5 days).

Are you a night owl?

We are seeking a Night Porter to join our team at voco Zeal Exeter Science Park. Located at the entrance of Exeter Science Park, our hotel is a premium 4-star establishment featuring 142 stylish bedrooms, a restaurant and bar showcasing local produce, a mini gym, gardens, and versatile meeting spaces. The hotel is 100% electric and includes a car park with 12 EV charging points.

Sustainability is central to our ethos. All team members are certified as ‘Carbon Literate’, and we encourage participation in Carbon Awareness training. We expect our staff to understand their environmental impact, actively contribute to emission reduction, and suggest ideas to enhance our sustainability efforts, bringing our sustainability journey to life for guests and staff alike.

Role Responsibilities

1. Assist guests with luggage and travel arrangements.
2. Support night operations by fulfilling guest requests, including providing additional room amenities and serving food and beverages.
3. Maintain vigilance to ensure hotel safety and security.
4. Work flexibly, adapt to shift changes, and use initiative to prepare the hotel for the upcoming day.

Work Schedule and Flexibility

We operate 7 days a week, 365 days a year, with various shifts and hours available. Our busiest times are evenings and weekends, but shift patterns can be discussed during the interview to suit your availability.
