Job Title: Night Porter

£26,436.80 per annum / £12.71 per hour, based on 40 hours per week (5 days).

Are you a night owl? We are seeking a Night Porter to join our team at voco Zeal Exeter Science Park, located at the entrance of Exeter Science Park. This premium 4-star hotel features 142 stylish bedrooms, a restaurant and bar with local produce, a mini gym, gardens, and versatile meeting spaces. The hotel is fully electric and offers a car park with 12 EV charging points.

Sustainability is central to our ethos. All team members are certified as ‘Carbon Literate’, and we encourage participation in Carbon Awareness training. We expect our team to understand environmental impacts, actively reduce emissions, and contribute ideas to our sustainability initiatives.

Main responsibilities include assisting guests with luggage and travel arrangements, supporting night operations to meet guest requests such as room amenities and food and beverage service. The role requires calmness under pressure, vigilance for safety, flexibility to adapt on shift, and initiative to prepare the hotel for the day ahead.

We operate 7 days a week, 365 days a year, offering flexible shifts and contracted hours, with busier periods during evenings and weekends. Shift patterns and hours are flexible and can be discussed at interview.
