Mount Royal Hotel Edinburgh by the Unlimited Collection is seeking a charming and engaging Night Porter with a passion for service excellence. You will report to the Assistant Front Office Manager, supporting guests with check-in and check-out, and ensuring memorable experiences of the city.

Key duties include handling inquiries, guiding guests to services and local attractions, maintaining security, assisting with room service, light cleaning, breakfast setup, and responding to emergencies

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality or similar role preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and multitask efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Flexible to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays.

A Night Porter Will Be Responsible For

• Welcoming and assisting guests with check-in and check-out procedures.
• Handling guest inquiries and providing information about hotel services and local attractions.
• Ensuring the security of the hotel and its guest by conducting regular patrols and monitoring security systems.
• Assisting with room service and delivering items to guest rooms as needed.
• Performing light cleaning and maintenance tasks to keep the hotel in top condition.

• Handling any emergencies or issues that arise during the night shift.

To be successful in the role of Night Porter, we require:

• Previous experience in a similar role or in the hospitality industry is preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic computer skills for handling reservations and guest inquiries.
