With 82 beautifully appointed bedrooms, The Nineteen Hundred Restaurant and Cafe Bar, and exclusive private dining in The Ledger Library, The Bedford Hotel Belfast is setting new standards for hospitality in Northern Ireland.

The Bedford Hotel Belfast, seeks a skilled Night Porter who thrives in a luxury hospitality setting.

Role Responsibilities:

As Night Porter, you will assist the manager on duty with the hotel’s overnight operations, ensuring that guests receive exceptional service and that the hotel remains secure.

Responsibilities Include:

• Supporting all night operations, ensuring effective communication with the manager on duty to assist with a smooth handover between day and night teams.
• Working as part of a team to maintain standards and efficiently complete tasks throughout the shift.
• Providing a warm and professional welcome to all guests, assisting with check-in, check-out and any late night enquiries or issues, as required.
• Ensuring the safety and security of all guests, staff, and property through effective communication, assisting with regular checks and adherence to company procedures.
• Assisting with elements of cash handling and night audit procedures, as requested.
• Ensuring compliance with all H&S regulations.
• Completing tasks as required to ensure that the hotel is ready for the next day’s operations.
• Assisting the manager on duty in handling any incidents or emergencies calmly and efficiently, following company policy.
• Supporting food and beverage service overnight, where necessary.
• Carrying out cleaning duties and preparing dining/meeting space, as required.

Key Requirements:

• Previous experience in a night role within the hospitality industry is advantageous.
• High standard of customer service.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a small team..
• Ability to work independently, showing initiative and reliability.
• Flexibility to work night shifts across week days and weekends. Typical shift times are 2300-0730..
