Job summary

Proper Cornish is seeking a Packing Operative to join our busy Machine-Made Products team in Bodmin. You will help set up the packing area, ensure smooth line operation, and accurately package our frozen pastries from the machine-made line.

You will pack products to exact specifications, operate the conveyor, and assist with box assembly, tape changes, and palletizing for dispatch. The role involves standing most of the shift with training and development opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand for long periods and work on a production line.
• Willingness to learn and follow safety procedures.
• Strong focus on quality and accuracy in packing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Set up packing area and ensure smooth line operation for the machine-made line.
• Pack finished products into boxes following product specifications.
• Operate packing conveyor, tape, weigh, and label finished boxes.
• Assemble boxes and replace tape reels and printer reels as needed.
• Palletize and wrap completed boxes for dispatch in accordance with specs.
