Job summary

The Cornwall Bakery, part of Samworth Brothers, is looking for a Skilled Packing Operator to join our South West team. You will set up and run packing equipment, check packs and labels, and keep the line running smoothly in a busy production environment.

Based in Callington, Cornwall, you’ll work with a collaborative team, follow food safety rules, and benefit from training and the Cornwall Bakery’s commitment to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in food production or packing.
• Experience using packing machines or similar equipment.
• Good understanding of packing and production processes.
• Able to work in a busy production environment.

• Set up and run packing machines safely and correctly.
• Check equipment is working correctly and report faults.
• Check packs, labels, dates, weights, and product quality.
• Transfer products from packing lines to boxes.
• Support product changeovers and line start-ups.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and health and safety rules.
• Keep the packing area clean, safe, and tidy.
