Job summary

Career Choices Dewis Gyrfa Ltd is recruiting four Young People Support Workers for Manchester to assist 18–25-year-olds experiencing homelessness. Roles include three night shifts (9:30pm–8:00am) totaling 37.5 hours weekly and one weekend role at 30 hours weekly, with a permanent contract.

The position focuses on building confidence, life skills and helping clients move toward independence in a safety-first environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting young people or people who have experienced homelessness.

Responsibilities

• Act as a key worker, building trusted relationships and providing practical and emotional support.
• Complete needs and risk assessments and develop support plans with clear, achievable goals.
• Help young people build independent living skills and access education, training, employment and volunteering.
• Respond to safeguarding concerns and work with partner agencies to support young people's wellbeing.
• Support residents moving into the service and encourage them to have a say in decisions that affect them.
