Job summary

Nurseplus is seeking an Outreach Worker to provide in-home care and support during night shifts for adults with addiction, mental health needs, or complex support requirements around Chichester and Bognor.

You will help individuals on their recovery journey, offering companionship, monitoring, and targeted support while maintaining clear records and complying with DBS checks. Training is provided and flexible shifts are available.

Qualifications

• Understands addiction care and supports individuals in recovery.
• 6+ months UK care experience in mental health or supported living.
• Valid driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• You must be 18+ and eligible to work in the UK.
• Flexible to attend shifts at short notice and travel to different care settings.
• Good standard of English and clear communication.
• Clear enhanced DBS (can apply on registration).

Responsibilities

• Provide community support during night shifts for adults living in their own homes around Chichester and Bognor.
• Support individuals on their addiction/recovery journey with monitoring and companionship.
• Assist and interact with individuals to promote independence where possible.
• Maintain up-to-date records and provide written reports as required.
• Be able to manage conflicts and stay safe in potentially difficult situations.
