Job summary

The Carnegie Club at Skibo Castle is seeking a Night Operations Supervisor to provide overnight operational oversight, ensuring safety, efficiency and high standards outside normal hours. You will coordinate emergency procedures and support with the grounds and guest safety.

You will lead the Night Operations team, manage night Audit, handovers, reporting and cross-department collaboration to deliver seamless overnight service.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising a hospitality team in a 4-5* venue
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in hospitality
• Comfort working overnights and managing night operations
• Excellent communication with guests and staff across departments
• Ability to maintain records and reports for night operations
• Willingness to participate in ongoing training and safety drills

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary overnight contact for members and guests, delivering exceptional and personalised guest experiences.
• Manage guest enquiries, arrivals, departures, complaints and service recovery with discretion.
• Take responsibility for overnight operation including Night Audit, handovers, reporting and procedures.
• Supervise and develop the Night Operations team with focus on service standards.
• Ensure safety and security of guests, colleagues and estate, including emergency response.
• Monitor maintenance, security and operational issues and maintain incident records.
• Provide operational support across Front of House, F&B, Housekeeping, Maintenance and Transport.
• Ensure public and guest areas are prep'd for daytime operations.
• Maintain clear communication with teams and produce accurate overnight reports.

Description

The Night Operations Supervisor provides overnight operational oversight, ensuring the Club continues to operate safely, efficiently and to the highest standards even outside of normal operational hours. The role supports with the safety and security of the grounds and guests, coordinating emergency procedures where required and ensuring operational issues are managed effectively.

About the Role

As a Night Operations Supervisor you will:

• Act as the primary overnight contact for members and guests, delivering exceptional and personalised guest experiences.
• Manage guest enquiries, arrivals, departures, complaints, and service recovery with professionalism and discretion.
• Take responsibility for the overnight operation of the Club, including Night Audit, operational handovers, reporting, and adherence to procedures.
• Supervise, support, and develop the Night Operations team, promoting high service standards and effective cross-department collaboration.
• Ensure the safety and security of guests, colleagues, and the estate by managing security patrols, emergency response, and compliance with health and safety procedures.
• Monitor and elevate maintenance, security, and operational issues while maintaining accurate incident and operational records.
• Provide operational support across departments, including Front of House, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, Maintenance and Transport, to maintain seamless overnight operations.
• Ensure public and guest areas remain clean, well-presented, and fully prepared to support an efficient daytime operation.
• Maintain clear communication with operational teams and produce accurate overnight reports to ensure continuity between night and day shifts.
• Night shifts: 9pm - 7am on a 7 days on/7 days off rotating schedule, year round

• Strong organisational skills and a willingness to support a seven-day hospitality operation
• Supervisory experience within a 4 or 5* hospitality venue
• Experience with health & safety and night working
• Fire training and First aid desirable but not essential as training will be given.
