Job summary

Farmhouse Inns in Lincoln is seeking a reliable Night Porter to join a busy restaurant, hotel and wedding venue. The role runs from 10:30pm to 8:00am with a 1-hour unpaid break, on a 4 days on / 4 days off pattern.

You will set up and reset function spaces, perform overnight cleaning, and carry out health and safety checks to keep the site secure and ready for the day ahead. Training is provided and prior hospitality experience is desirable but not essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Setting up and resetting function rooms for weddings, events, conferences and private functions.
• Carrying out general cleaning duties throughout the hotel, restaurant and public areas to maintain exceptional standards.
• Completing overnight health and safety, fire safety and security checks to ensure the premises remain safe, secure and compliant.
• Assisting with guest requests and providing excellent customer service during overnight hours.
• Ensuring all event spaces, public areas and facilities are clean, tidy and ready for the following day.
• Reporting maintenance issues, damages or concerns to the management team.
• Assisting with the security of the premises, including locking and unlocking designated areas as required.
• Supporting the wider team with operational tasks to ensure the venue is fully prepared for weddings, events and hotel guests.
