Sure Call Recruitment is recruiting for a Fortune Utilities client in Worthing for a Temporary Night Operations Manager role. This 6-month contract features a 4 on, 4 off, 12-hour night pattern and a salary of £50,000 pro-rata paid via PAYE, with immediate start.

You will lead the overnight response team, coordinate dispatch and engineering crews, and ensure urgent drainage requests and emergencies are handled swiftly and safely, with a focus on data accuracy and handovers to the day shift.

Qualifications

• Shift leadership experience in fast-paced environments such as logistics, utilities, or emergency services.
• Ability to operate effectively on a 12-hour night shift.
• Decisive leadership when daytime support is unavailable.
• Available for an immediate start on a 6-month contract.

Responsabilités

• Oversee the nightly operations team, tracking job progression and deploying field engineers to emergencies.
• Ensure turnaround times for reactive drainage work, pollution control, and internal flooding are met (SLA).
• Serve as the night escalation point for operational hurdles and safety concerns.
• Monitor data in job management systems and ensure clear handovers for the morning shift.
