Job summary

Pilgrim's Europe in Attleborough is seeking a Multiskilled Engineer on nights to support plant reliability and continuous improvement.

You will perform PPMs, fault finding and problem solving, maintaining 5S in the workshop, and work 4 on 4 off from 5pm to 5am.

Excellent English and experience in a fast-moving food manufacturing environment are essential; lean tools knowledge is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Understanding of Engineering schematics (Mechanical/Electrical/Pneumatic/PI&D).
• Excellent fault-finding skills; lean tools/principles advantageous.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Experience in fast-moving food manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and sustain the reliability agenda; provide first line support to plant and process.
• Perform PPMs to standard; record activities in CMMS.
• Maintain engineering shift report for breakdowns and activities.
• Escalate priority issues and apply containment as per escalation procedure.
• Design out manual interventions; implement safe, hygienic, quick, cost-effective countermeasures.
• Create autonomous maintenance schedules; train operations staff.
• Ensure timely repair of simple breakdowns; assist root cause analysis.
• Maintain 5S standard in the engineering workshop and stores.
