Job summary
Galaxy Personnel is seeking a Night Maintenance Engineer for a small, friendly team in the Thetford area. You will respond to production breakdowns and perform preventative maintenance on poultry processing and packing equipment, including conveyors, module and tray transport systems, plucking equipment, evisceration machinery, tray sealers, flow wrappers, and vacuum sealers.
The ideal candidate holds an NVQ Level 3 and has strong mechanical/electrical knowledge, fault diagnosis skills, and the
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 is essential for this role.
- Ability to read and interpret schematic drawings is essential.
- Strong fault diagnosis and logical thinking are required.
- Experience with CMMS is desirable.
- Broad mechanical and electrical knowledge is required.
Responsibilities
- Respond to production breakdowns and carry out maintenance quickly.
- Perform planned preventative maintenance on packaging machinery and conveyors.
- Follow safety procedures including permit-to-work and lock-off practices.
- Undertake small projects and modifications as needed.
- Carry out lubrication and general maintenance tasks on site.
