Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. in Milton Keynes is recruiting a Maintenance Engineer to join our team supporting Waitrose. You will help maintain the depot and facilities, ensuring safe operation and compliance with legislation and best practices.

This full-time, permanent role predominantly covers Sunday to Thursday, 21:30–05:30. Salary up to £38,080 per annum (including shift allowance) with 25 days annual leave, pension, dental insurance, GP service, life assurance and additional employee benefits

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification such City & Guilds, NVQ level 3 is essential.
• Strong mechanical/electrical skills, ideally being electrically bias would be advantageous.
• 18th Edition wiring is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Engineering manager to ensure all contractual obligations are carried out fully, successfully and with the minimum disruption
• Monitoring/maintenance of large industrial ammonia refrigeration plants, ensuring that it is available and maintained to optimum performance levels at all times
• Planned and reactive plumbing and drainage maintenance
• Electrical testing and fault finding
