Job summary

Holiday Inn Basildon is seeking a calm Night Supervisor to lead the overnight team, ensuring the hotel runs smoothly, safely, and professionally through the night.

You will supervise the night shift, handle guest requests and complaints, carry out security checks, complete handovers for senior management, assist with light housekeeping or maintenance, and set up meeting rooms and dining areas as needed, delivering a memorable guest experience.

Qualifications

• Calm, capable night shift leader with strong guest-service focus.
• Experience as Night Supervisor, Night Porter or similar hotel role.
• Able to supervise and support the night team and manage incidents calmly.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support the night team, ensuring duties are carried out to a high standard.
• Ensure all security and safety procedures are followed throughout the night shift.
• Handle guest requests, concerns, and complaints calmly and professionally.
• Carry out regular security checks across the hotel.
• Provide general operational support to hotel departments overnight.
• Assist with light housekeeping or maintenance tasks when required.
• Set up meeting rooms and public areas as needed.
• Serve food and beverages to guests during the night shift.
• Check guests in and out of the hotel when required.
• Act as first response to incidents or emergencies, following hotel procedures.
• Complete overnight reports and handover information for senior management.
