Job summary

The Best Connection is recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (LGV C+E) Drivers to work with our client in Killingworth for regular night trunking. This role offers straightforward routes, reliable shifts, and competitive PAYE pay rates.

As a Night Driver you will perform a simple night trunking run with a trailer swap, avoiding handballing and multidrop deliveries, while maintaining high safety standards and professional communication with the transport team.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Category C+E (Class 1) driving licence.
• At least two years of commercial HGV Class 1 driving experience.
• Clean driving licence preferred, though minor points may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Complete a night trunking run to a designated service station.
• Carry out a trailer swap before returning.
• Perform straightforward trunking work with no handballing or multidrop deliveries.
• Maintain a professional, reliable and safety-conscious approach throughout your shift.
• Communicate effectively with the transport team and represent The Best Connection professionally.
