Job summary

Great Bear in Desborough (Culina Group) seeks experienced HGV Class 1 drivers for a permanent, full-time role within a 24/7 operation delivering palletised goods nationwide. Night shift rates include enhanced pay and overtime options.

Shift patterns available: Mon–Fri Nights and 4 on 4 off Nights, with pay of £20–£21 per hour and overtime paid at the hourly rate plus 30%. You will carry out safe deliveries, complete paperwork, and adhere to tachograph rules.

Qualifications

Valid C+E licence.
Minimum 12 months HGV Class 1 driving experience.
No more than 6 points on licence and no DD/DR convictions.
Current DCPC and Tachograph cards.
Good understanding of Drivers Hours and Working Time Directive.
Ability to complete vehicle checks and report defects.
Commitment to on-site health and safety requirements.
Excellent communication and a professional approach.

Responsibilities

Carry out safe, professional deliveries to customer premises.
Complete palletised general haulage deliveries to Regional Distribution Centres.
Support occasional driver tipping or multi-drop deliveries as needed.
Occasional night out may be required.
Report delays or issues to Transport team at shift start.
