Job summary

voco Edinburgh Royal Terrace, managed by Axiom Hospitality, is seeking a Night Receptionist in Edinburgh. You will provide courteous service to guests and uphold the highest standards during night hours.

Reporting to the Night Manager, you will greet guests warmly, handle requests, and work within a busy team to learn and develop. This permanent, full-time role offers competitive pay, benefits, and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Truly passionate about the Hospitality Industry.
• Previous experience as a receptionist is preferred but not necessary.
• Ability to understand our guests’ needs to create exceptional service experiences, that result in lasting memories.
• Excellent personal presentation.
• Ability to function independently with a minimum of supervision.
• You are a night owl, comfortable working during the night time.
• Excellent communication skills, the ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
• To be an enthusiastic team player with a flexible approach.

Responsibilities

• To be totally guest focused by consistently delivering excellent customer service with an informed, friendly and effective approach;
• To gain experience in all sections of the front desk department and ensure company and legal requirements are maintained;
• Assist in the general running of the hotel at night and support other departments in setting up for the next day;
• To continuously improve the quality of the hotel's services;
• To undertake night audits and hotel safety checks to make sure everyone in our hotel is safe and looked after;
• To be confident in all aspects of guest relations, receiving and recognizing all guests, including those who require special attention;
• To promote the company values and behaviours at all times.
