Job summary

The Best Connection is seeking a reliable Forklift Operative for a night shift in Hounslow. You will load and unload vans, move stock, and maintain safety and hygiene standards in a fast-paced food warehouse.

Responsibilities include performing forklift operations, inspections, reporting faults, and coordinating with the warehouse team to ensure timely order fulfillment. The role requires a valid forklift licence, driving license, and the ability to work six nights per week.

Qualifications

• Valid forklift licence/certification is required.
• Previous warehouse or forklift experience preferred.
• Valid driving license is required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Good attention to detail and safety awareness.
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
• Able to work six nights per week.
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operating forklift trucks safely and efficiently.
• Carrying out daily vehicle inspections and safety checks of the forklift truck before use.
• Reporting any faults, defects, or maintenance issues promptly.
• Loading and unloading delivery vans.
• Moving and stacking stock within the warehouse.
• Working closely with the warehouse picking team to ensure orders are loaded accurately and on time.
• Supporting the smooth flow of goods throughout the warehouse operation.
• Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
• Following all health and safety regulations and food hygiene procedures.
• Working effectively as part of the night shift team.
• Assisting with general warehouse duties as required.
• Moving vehicles around the yard.
