Optima UK Inc Ltd is recruiting an experienced EDM Operator for night shifts in Leicestershire. You will operate Makino EDM machinery to produce precision aerospace components, following drawings and CNC instructions.

Overtime is paid at Time & 1/3, with a permanent, night-shift role and a clear path for skill development. The role requires reading engineering drawings, machining to tight tolerances, and using precision measuring tools.

Qualifications

• Reading engineering drawings and interpreting CNC programmes/work instructions.
• Experience working to tight tolerances and aerospace quality standards.
• Strong attention to detail with a quality-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Operate EDM machinery to produce precision aerospace components.
• Set up EDM machines safely and efficiently; load/unload components.
• Inspect parts with precision measuring equipment and report issues.
• Maintain production and quality records and meet production targets.
