Job summary

Another Place, The Machrie is seeking a Night House Manager to lead the overnight operation, delivering warm, professional service and ensuring a memorable guest experience. The role covers night audit, guest handovers, and maintaining security and reception standards on Islay.

45% of the time you’ll manage the night shift, ensuring safety and a seamless operation while supporting the wider team with admin tasks and policy adherence.

Qualifications

• Experience as Night Duty Manager or similar hotel role.
• Experience using a hotel PMS system (desirable).
• Front of House experience or equivalent.
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee hotel overnight operations and ensure a safe, smooth guest experience.
• Act as main point of contact for guests, handling queries with care.
• Complete night audit and prepare for next day’s arrivals.
• Perform regular security/hotel checks including CCTV and reception standards.
• Support night cleaning team and provide room service when required.
