Job summary

RBH Hospitality Management is seeking a Nights Duty Manager for Courtyard by Marriott Sheffield. You will balance and reconcile nightly financials, support check-ins for late arrivals, and ensure security and a smooth guest experience.

The role requires experience in hospitality or finance, keen attention to detail, strong communication, and flexibility to work nights. Training in Opera PMS is provided; benefits include staff meals and diverse shift options.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality or finance roles with accounting knowledge.
• Strong attention to detail in financial reconciliation.
• Good communication and guest enquiry handling.
• Basic IT skills and familiarity with Opera PMS.
• Willingness to work night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Balance and reconcile daily financial transactions, including room revenue and F&B.
• Prepare end-of-day financial reports for management.
• Check in late arrivals and provide overnight front desk support.
• Conduct security checks to ensure guest and property safety.
• Collaborate with front office and accounting teams during night audit.
• Prepare handover notes for the day team.
• Lead nights room service operations and manage the night team.
• Ensure the hotel is set for the following day.

AN EVENING IN THE LIFE OF NIGHTS DUTY MANAGER AT OUR HOTEL

What you'll be doing...

• Balance and reconcile daily financial transactions, including room revenue, food and beverage sales, and other charges
• Prepare end-of-day financial reports for management, ensuring accuracy in accounting records and resolving discrepancies
• Check in late arrivals, assist guests with any inquiries, and provide overnight front desk support, ensuring a seamless guest experience
• Conduct regular security checks throughout the hotel premises to ensure guest and property safety
• Collaborate with the front office and accounting teams to address any issues identified during the night audit
• Maintain clear communication with the day team by preparing handover notes and ensuring all relevant information is recorded
• Handle any emergency situations overnight, acting as the point of contact and coordinating with necessary departments
• Lead nights room service operations
• Manage night team members
• Ensure the hotel is set for the following day for a smooth operation

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

• Previous experience in hospitality or finance roles, with an understanding of accounting principles
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly in financial reconciliation
• Good communication skills and the ability to handle guest enquiries professionally
• Basic IT skills and familiarity with Opera property management systems (PMS)
• Flexibility to work night shifts and the ability to remain focused and productive
