Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT) is seeking a Band 6 District Nursing Sister for the Evening and Overnight District Nursing Service in Central Manchester. The role focuses on autonomous home-based nursing care, patient assessment, planning and evaluation to prevent hospital admissions.

You will provide clinical leadership, supervise junior staff, and work with GPs, OOH services, and other teams. Night shifts are 22:30–08:00, with a driving requirement for city-wide coverage.

Formación

• Qualified nurse with CSP district nursing qualification.
• Experience in community/home nursing settings.
• Strong communication, leadership and organisational abilities.

Responsabilidades

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in patients' homes.
• Provide autonomous clinical care and promote independence.
• Lead, supervise and mentor junior staff and students.
• Collaborate with GPs, OOH GPs, ambulance services and other teams.
• Coordinate evening caseload and urgent referrals; make informed decisions.
• Deliver palliative and end-of-life care and catheter/medication management.
