Job summary

Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 5 Community Nurse for evening and overnight district nursing. The post is fixed term for 12 months, part-time at 27.5 hours per week, with nights and twilight shifts and potential secondment opportunities for internal staff.

The role requires a driving licence, NMC registration, and the ability to work autonomously in out-of-hours community settings.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with NMC as a baseline qualification.
• Degree or Diploma in Nursing is required.
• Evidence of continued professional development and post-registration training.

Responsibilities

• Work night shifts (10pm–8am) with some twilight shifts (7pm–1am).
• Provide out-of-hours community nursing care and coordinate with urgent care services.
• Drive to patient homes and maintain real-time records while delivering care.
