Job summary

Salvation Army Homes in Preston is seeking a Night Concierge to provide overnight presence, keep residents safe, and ensure the building remains secure.

The Preston Services supports 16 to 24-year-olds transitioning to independence across two sites: Preston Foyer (16 bedrooms) and Merriweather (11 bedrooms).

The role involves a rota including weekends, with a comprehensive benefits package and opportunity for growth within Salvation Army Homes.

Qualifications

• Be a confident and capable communicator, not fazed by difficult situations.
• Build trusting, professional relationships and have a high level of resilience.
• Take an asset-based approach to empowering people to develop their skills, strengths and talents.
• Have good knowledge or experience of working with homeless people, and / or supporting vulnerable people or groups,
• Understand or learn about community resources and organisations that can help our clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide overnight presence to residents and ensure the building is secure.
• Co-ordinate with Merriweather site during night shifts and rota including weekends.
• Support residents in navigating services and staying safe during night hours.
