Job summary
Workforce Recruitment and Training in Wakefield is seeking an experienced CNC Miller to join our machining team on a night shift. You will program, set up and operate HAAS 3-axis vertical machining centres to produce low-volume, high-precision components, following engineering drawings and tolerances.
The role offers a competitive salary of £51,480 per annum, overtime opportunities, and a range of benefits.
Qualifications
- Proven experience setting, programming and operating HAAS milling machines.
- Programming experience is highly advantageous.
- Able to use precision inspection equipment and gauges.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and geometric tolerances.
Responsibilities
- Set up, program and operate HAAS 3-axis vertical machining centres (VF2 to VF9).
- Manufacture precision components to drawings and tolerances.
- Carry out in-process inspection using appropriate measuring equipment.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy and workmanship.
- Keep the work area clean, organised and safe.
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
- Undertake additional duties to support production.
