Silcoms is seeking an experienced Nights CNC Machinist to join our precision machining team. You will program, set up and run CNC machines to manufacture aerospace components to exacting standards, reading drawings and GD&T; selecting tooling and speeds/feeds, and editing programs as needed.
You'll work nights with a shift allowance, benefit from a comprehensive package including pension, healthcare, EAP and generous holiday entitlement, along with career growth in a long-established UK
Formación
- Experience operating CNC machinery in precision engineering.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Experience with aerospace/defence or highly regulated industries.
- Familiarity with precision measurement tools and inspection.
Responsabilidades
- Set up, program, and operate CNC machines to produce aerospace components.
- Read and interpret drawings, specs and CNC programs.
- Select tooling, speeds and feeds for efficient machining.
- Edit CNC programs and adjust offsets as needed.
- Perform self-inspection using precision measuring equipment.
- Complete quality documentation and ensure aerospace standards compliance.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Production and Quality teams, maintaining a safe workspace.
