Silcoms Ltd. is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our Precision Machining team in Bolton. You will set up, program, and operate CNC vertical boring machines to manufacture high-precision aerospace components in line with drawings and customer specifications.

You will interpret engineering drawings, select tooling and feeds, adjust offsets, and contribute to continuous improvement while ensuring AS9100 quality standards are met.

Qualifications

• Proven experience setting up, programming, and operating CNC machines.
• 2+ years of experience in aerospace or regulated environments.
• Strong reading of engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Ability to troubleshoot tooling and program issues.

Responsabilités

• Set up, program, and operate CNC vertical boring machines to produce precision aerospace components.
• Interpret drawings, specifications, and CNC programs.
• Select tooling, fixtures, speeds, and feeds; adjust CNC offsets.
• Edit and optimise CNC programs for efficiency and accuracy.
• Conduct self-inspection and maintain quality records.
