Job summary

ABM is looking for a dedicated cleaner to join our team at a commercial building in Glasgow. You will clean offices and communal areas, hoover, mop, wipe desks, kitchens and toilets, empty waste and top up consumables, while maintaining high cleaning standards.

You must have good attention to detail and disinfect areas as per the cleaning planner. The role supports a team with flexible tasks and requires reliable attendance and strong timekeeping.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning offices and communal areas in commercial buildings.
• Ability to Hoover, mop, wipe desks, kitchens and toilets.
• Attention to detail and high standards of cleaning.
• Disinfection of areas as per cleaning planner.
• Reliable with good attendance and timekeeping.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Dusting, wiping and disinfecting desks and surfaces.
• Scrubbing kitchens and toilets to a high standard.
• Hoovering and mopping floors.
• Disinfecting high touch points and surfaces.
• Detail work such as skirtings and fixtures.
• Follow group and company procedures and policies.
• Report deficiencies or safety risks to the Line Manager.
• Use PPE correctly and attend to training.
• Maintain good attendance and timekeeping.
• Work to routine schedules and proactively find tasks.

Job description

LOCATION: Argyle Street, Glasgow

SHIFT PATTERN: Sunday to Thursday Nightshift, 9pm to 6am, 40 hours per week

PAY RATE: £13.75 per hour

MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE:

This position will play a key role in the delivery of cleaning standards within a commercial building this will include cleaning of the offices and communal areas this will include hoovering, mopping, desk wiping, kitchen, and toilet cleaning. You will empty waste and top up consumables. You must have good attention to detail and high standards of cleaning. You will be responsible for disinfecting areas as per planner.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Dusting, wiping, and disinfecting desks and all surfaces
• Scrubbing kitchens and toilets
• Hoovering and mopping floors
• Disinfecting all high touch points
• Detail work i.e. skirtings, sills, fixtures etc
• Following group and company policies and procedures
• Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment.
• Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received.
• Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager and /or via your divisional incident reporting system.
• Good attendance
• Work to routine schedules
• Be able to proactively find tasks
• Ability to work on their own and as a team
• Excellent timekeeping
• Good communication skills
