Job summary

The Landmark London is seeking a passionate Night Chef to join our Kitchen Team on a permanent basis with an immediate start. You will deliver memorable moments and five-star service to our guests, working 40 hours per week on a shift rota.

Qualifications

• Experience in professional kitchen and night chef role preferred.
• Ability to work to recipe specifications and maintain high standards.
• Strong teamwork and positive energy in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare mise-en-place and cook meals for the night service.
• Ensure dishes are cooked and presented to the outlet standards.
• Take ownership of the kitchen during the shift and report issues.
• Complete incident/ incident reports to the Executive/Sous Chef when needed.
• Assist in other kitchen duties as required.

As a Night Chef, your main duties and expectations for the role will include:

• To work as an individual and as part of a team by taking ownership for the correct preparation of mise-en-place and service for the section / department
• To prepare / cook food to the correct standard as specified in the recipe specification manual. Be aware of all menu changes and changes to dish specification.
• Understand the criteria set by AA and Leading Hotels of The World. Support senior chefs by ensuring that all food is cooked and presented to standards set in the outlet specification manual.
• Take full ownership for the kitchen for the duration of your shift, in the absence of the Senior Night Chef. Take appropriate action if problems arise, keeping the Night manager updated where appropriate
• Prepare a detailed written report for the Executive Chef / Sous chef following any incident or emergency situation, where possible, send via email with all Facts.
• To carry out all tasks as directed by your immediate supervisor/ manager and to assist in any other areas or duties within the kitchen/ hotel upon request

You will be required to work 40 hours per week, on a shift rota.
