Job summary

Nottingham City Council is seeking a Night Care Worker Level 1 to join Barkla Close night team in Clifton, Nottingham. The role involves supporting adults with learning disabilities, promoting independence, and ensuring a safe, dignified nocturnal environment.

You will complete cleaning, laundry and handovers, and respond calmly to incidents. A DBS enhanced check is required, and visa sponsorship is not available.

• Experience in health or social care.

• Ability to work independently during night shifts.
• Understand safeguarding and person-centred support.

Responsibilities

• Support citizens with their care and support needs.
• Promote independence, choice and dignity.
• Provide reassurance and support throughout the night.
• Complete cleaning and housekeeping duties to maintain a safe environment.
• Undertake laundry duties and prepare the service for the following day.
• Accurately record information and hand over updates to colleagues.
• Respond calmly to incidents and emergencies.
