Job summary

Cygnet Healthcare's Beacon House in West Yorkshire is seeking a confident Care & Support Worker to provide person-centred care on a 42-hour week, including nights and alternating weekends. You'll support people with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs, helping them lead a meaningful life.

The role offers ongoing learning, a robust apprenticeship scheme, and wellbeing benefits, with pay starting at £13.15 per hour and rising after three and eighteen months. DBS check will be required.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering care in healthcare settings.
• Willingness to work nights and alternate weekends.
• Ability to empower service users and support independence.
• DBS check required.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and encouragement through physical and emotional support.
• Learn about individuals' needs and assist in the most appropriate way.
• Assist with and report on medical and welfare needs.
• Safeguard service users and maintain a safe, clean environment.
• Support service users to access the community and participate in activities.
• Involve service users in tasks such as cooking and cleaning.
