Job summary

Watersmead is a Watersmead care home in Westbury operated by Orders of St. John Care Trust, a large not-for-profit UK care provider.

We are seeking a Night Care Leader for Watersmead to supervise a small team during 3x 12.25 hour night shifts (7:45pm–8:00am) across a 30.63 hour week, including every other weekend, in a traditional home setting. You will lead care staff, monitor resident safety, review care plans, and maintain accurate records while supporting wellbeing and dignity for up to 50

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care, or NVQ Level 2 with study plan for NVQ Level 3.
• Experience leading a team to deliver care and motivate staff.
• Willingness to undertake further training to support career development.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team of carers to provide wakeful night care and monitor resident safety.
• Ensure care plans are reviewed and records are maintained accurately.
• Manage time effectively for self and team to support residents' wellbeing.
• Foster a nurturing, compassionate environment and build lasting rapport with residents and colleagues.

Night Care Leader

Location: Westbury

Contracted hours: 30.63 hours per week

Shift pattern: 3x 12.25 hour shifts 7:45pm to 8am, including every other weekend

ABOUT THE ROLE

Are you an experienced carer with a desire to progress your career to the next level?

Our care teams make a real difference every day and your professionalism, teamed with kindness and compassion, will be at the core of everything you do. Leading a small team of carers, you'll be responsible for keeping wakeful watch on the security and safety of our residents and the home in general. You'll ensure that care plans are regularly reviewed, understanding the importance of maintaining accurate records, and will be able to manage the time of both yourself and your team effectively to support the wellbeing of our residents. You'll understand that some shifts might be challenging, but you'll also laugh, have fun and make lasting memories with our residents.

ABOUT YOU

You'll have NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care, or you've achieved NVQ Level 2, and you're prepared to study for NVQ Level 3. You'll also be experienced in leading a team to deliver care, be keen to progress to a role with greater levels of responsibility and be willing to undertake relevant training to support your career development in a nurturing, engaging and rewarding environment.

You'll be a positive role model, with excellent communication skills and a natural ability to get along with others. A supportive leader you'll motivate your team to deliver the best possible care to our residents at all times.
