Job summary

St Mary’s Care Group is seeking a warm Care Assistant for night shifts at Shipley Manor in Bradford. This permanent, full-time role (42 hours) includes alternate weekends and delivering compassionate care to residents in a supportive environment.

You’ll assist with daily living, observe wellbeing, and help residents maintain dignity and independence. A positive attitude and flexibility are essential; prior care experience is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with daily living tasks while preserving dignity.
• Monitor wellbeing and comfort; respond to needs promptly.
• Assist with mobility, continence, and personal care as required.
• Record daily notes and comply with care plans.
• Foster social activities and engage residents in hobbies.
• Answer nurse calls, manage calls and messages; report concerns.
