Job summary

South Coast Nursing Homes in Worthing is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant to join Berkeley Lodge, our dementia specialist home, on night shifts. This full-time role covers 36 hours per week and includes every other weekend, with competitive hourly rates.

You will deliver high-quality personal care, promote independence, assist with meals, and build trusting relationships with residents and their families. Training is provided to support your development in a caring, supportive team.

Qualifications

• Experience in the Healthcare sector preferred but full training is provided.
• Kind and caring with a positive approach.
• Energetic and hard-working with a passion for high-quality care.

Responsibilities

• Providing high quality personal care, social interaction and stimulation to residents.
• Promoting independence and enablement and providing support as needed.
• Ensuring electronic residents’ interactions are inputted on the system.
• Serving meals and promoting social dining experiences.
• Developing relationships with relatives to support understanding residents’ needs.
