Job summary

South Coast Nursing Homes is a family-owned care provider in East and West Sussex, with a focus on high-quality resident care and staff development. We are looking for a Care Assistant to join the Nights team at Berkeley Lodge in Worthing.

The role is full-time (36 hours per week) with every other weekend, offering comprehensive training, competitive hourly rates and an emphasis on career progression within our growing company.

Qualifications

• Experience in the Healthcare sector is preferred, but full training is provided.
• Kind and caring with a positive approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality personal care, social interaction, and stimulation to residents.
• Promote independence and enablement, offering necessary support.
• Record residents' personalised interactions on the system.
• Serve food and drinks and promote social dining experiences.
• Build relationships with relatives to understand residents' needs.

We are looking for a Care Assistant to join our team on Nights at Berkeley Lodge our specialist Dementia Nursing Home in Worthing.

Hours – Full Time – 36hrs per week - including every other weekend

As a Care Assistant you will be:

• Providing high quality personal care, social interaction and stimulation to residents;
• Promoting independence and enablement and providing any support to the residents where necessary;
• Ensuring electronic residents’ personalised interactions are inputted on the system;
• Serving food and drinks to the residents and promoting social dining experiences;
• Developing relationships with relatives to help support you in understanding their needs and developing their personal care.

More about you:

• Ideally, you’ll have experience in the Healthcare sector, however we will provide you with all the training you need to be successful in the role;
